Something's gone awry. - H

I've been having stomach cramps for the last two or three days. My intestines are constantly tightening into knots and then releasing. It comes and goes, but I wish it would just go. If it's giardiasis that's ailing me, it could be like this for a while until the parasite leaves my system somehow. I'm not quite sure how it works. I hope it's out of my system before I start working again.

Ugh...work. T - 7 days. I know I'm quite lucky to have so much vacation built into my work schedule, but thinking of going back to the daily grind still isn't thrilling in the least. I've really enjoyed my time at home. Maybe it's that I don't stay home full time, but I really enjoyed some of the mundane activities that go along with keeping house. This might change once I start working. I'll probably have a much better attitude about it once I get into the swing of things. A new year, new students, and more experience under my belt amounts to excitement and some anticipation - some...well, I'm sure it'll grow in the days just before the first day of school. I'm pretty sure that my teaching days are numbered though. What next?...most likely the pursuit of my one constant love - photography. I got a fancy camera with more buttons and settings that I know what to do with, but I'm slowly learning.

I learned a little bit on our trip to Europe about landscape photography and setting the exposure. We brought a photography how-to book with us that we borrowed from a friend. I was doing it all wrong and wasn't taking into consideration the stark differences in constrast in the landscape. Of course this was after three rolls of poorly shot film and as we were leaving to go back home. Needless to say, the photos are less than impressive and do a poor job of capturing the majesty of the Swiss Alps and the brilliant colors of the hills. Good thing we also brought our digital point and shoot. We got some good images there. We'll post some of them soon. Toodeloo for now.
