Ha ha! - H

I gave a short introductory chemistry lesson yesterday. As I'm explaining what an atom is and what chemical bonds are a student raises his hand. I ignore it b/c I'm thinking if he just waits a minute I'll explain everything and his question is likely to be answered. At the end of it, he still has his hand up, so I call on him.

student: Mrs. A, what am I saying when I call you a non-polar covalent bond?
Me - thinks it's a serious question so I give a serious answer explaining what a non-polar covalent bond is.
student: Unattractive.
(chuckles from students in class)

Don't worry. It was all in good fun. I didn't take offense, and we all had a good chuckle. (sigh) I love my job!

I developed my first roll of film in my photo class on Monday. I LOVE my class! What I love most is that there are only 7 or 8 people enrolled in my class, so we get lots of personal attention from the instructor. He really knows what he's talking about too, and as an artist himself, he's trying to help us to develop our own artistic sense. I really like that. However, I need to learn the technical side first and learn all the things that are possible before I can really create interesting photographs. I' m on my way though. Look for my name...oh, maybe sometime in the next decade...maybe...hopefully...

Ooooh! NZ, eh? That's one of the destinations on the top of my list. Have loads of fun and soak up some scenery for me too!
