Joy in Trials - H
2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (James 1.2-4)
I'm not great at memorizing verses. Like anything else, I remember those things that have been relevant to my life. This one I first had to memorize when I was part of the youth group leadership team, and it's coming to life once again. I'm seeing God bring some people in my life closer to Himself through the trials in their lives, growing their faith and their character too. Not only that, I see the bearing of fruit in so many other parts of their lives too, a testament that He really does work for the good of those that love Him...that we might be conformed to the likeness of His Son. (Rom. 8.28)
