Living life - H
I'm looking forward to having a year off next year. I'm making tentative plans about what I'd like to do. I'll probably become restless after some time if all I did was stay home with baby. I'm looking forward to more photo classes and probably some other art classes, taking baby out on hikes and perhaps some photo outings - spending what time I will have to pursue some of the things that are relegated my "life garage," the places in my mind and heart where I stow away all the things I want to try or pursue but later. I'm going to fish those things out of my garage and start doing them next year. Can't wait! Why not start my 30s out with a bang!
I was listening to some celebrity women on TV talk about aging the other day. I was reading some articles in a magazine yesterday too, and they seem to say that as you get older you just get to know yourself better and eventually come to a point in your life when you know what you want and where you're going, and you know who you are. (Yea!!!) Many of these people were in their 60s or older though. (Aw shucks!) I guess that's great, but can't it happen sooner...(for me) 10 years ago? In some ways it seems like the time it takes to figure those things out is almost wasted b/c it eats into your time to live life as a true expression of yourself rather than in response to your life circumstances or other such things. I guess perspective and wisdom come with age and experience, and I suppose when I stop to reflect on the journey, I'll have thought it interesting and fun...but if you know me, I'm most satisfied when I've set goals and met them.
