Breastfeeding - H

We took a class on breastfeeding last night on the recommendation of our childbirth prep class instructor, and after all of the horror stories I've heard, I thought it might help to learn a thing or two from the experts. The instructor was a lactation consultant that works at the hospital, and a handful of other lactation consultants also attended the class and chimed in with their advice and experience too. I've only begun to read one book about it, but I think the class was extremely helpful. It addressed some misconceptions I had about how to nurse and made me feel confident that it will be less painful than I'm expecting it to be and a good experience for both me and baby. I think the class could have focused on other parts of nursing a newborn too, but I was most interested in learning how to avoid pain anyway, and I feel like the issue was addressed well. I highly recommend it!

Baby should be here by the end of the month. 29 days and counting.
