Random stuff from vacation - H
NYC with an infant is a very different experience...of course! I'd have to carry a stroller up and down the subway stairs (Although in this case, I just carried Baby since we no longer had a car seat.), we'd have to search the city for the rare changing tables, Baby was so over stimulated & exhausted, etc. but I'm talking about the people. The stereotypical New Yorker is rude and cold, but people were very nice and even warm and started up conversations with me because of Baby or they would see her and smile at her and at me. I even got some unsolicited advice. I was so surprised that people were so nice. It was a good feeling. I felt like part of the community, whatever that means in the context of New York.
We got our car seat in the mail today. We upgraded since the airline was paying for it, although we did buy a closeout. We tried not to take advantage of them completely. I'm super happy with it though. Too bad Baby J will only be able to use it for a few days, at most a couple of weeks b/c she's already grown out of it.
My nieces showed us this video on You Tube which is hilarious. Search "funny babies blood." It should be the first video that comes up on the list. I've laughed every time I've watched it.
