Garbage day and thanks! - H

So, today is garbage day. J loves garbage day, b/c she loves to watch the garbage trucks. So, we'll say to her, "Guess what day it is, J." We'll tell her it's Tuesday, and she says, "Garbage truck!" So, E was changing her diaper and clothes this morning when I heard the garbage truck down the street. Then it was a mad dash to get J in her clothes, find her jacket, and for E to get his shoes and jacket on so J could go out and watch the garbage truck.

E: J, we have to hurry and get your clothes on! The garbage truck is coming!
Then, she walks over to climb the couch so she can see through the window.
H: J, hurry, we have to put your clothes on so we can go out and see the garbage truck!
I try to zip up her jacket, but it keeps getting stuck. E has to find his shoes which he left at the back of the house. In the mean time the garbage truck is getting really close, and E and I are in a frenzy trying to make sure J gets to see the garbage truck eat our garbage. Just in the nick of time, E and J make it outside. Phew! That was an exciting start to our morning here at the Ahn household, probably the highlight of J's day. Sigh, simple pleasures. I hope this lasts forever.

The highlight of my week has been people who have fed us dinner. Thanks a bunch! In general I'm not very good at feeding myself, and especially not when I'm feeling sick. I haven't felt like eating anything, and thinking about what to eat for 3 meals a day plus snacks is actually stressful for me. So, we've gotten a couple of calls this week for us to have dinner with friends, and it's cause for celebration for me b/c I can feed my hungry stomach and I don't have to worry about it. So, thank you, thank you, thank you! I am sincerely and incredibly thankful!
