J, J, J - H
J was running down the hallway today, in her socks. Our floors are wood, and so when she went to turn into the living room, she wiped out and was sprawled out and prone on the floor. Splat! After a few seconds, I hear her starting to cry. I go to her, give her a hug, and ask if she's okay. Through her cries she utters, "Want cat cookies," (these spiced cookies shaped like cats) and continues her tearless, scrunched faced crying. Hehehe.
She plays to our heartstrings and a few times recently has started to bargain for a tasty snack immediately following an incident like this. The other day, she tripped on the concrete while we were walking to our car. She skinned her elbow (which I didn't notice until we were halfway home), and she was crying. It was a pretty hard fall, and I felt bad for her. I think she even cried tears. I asked her if she was okay, and she wails, "Pretzels!" as she continues to cry about her owies.
Oh, J!
