The end is near - H

As summer comes to a close, I'm losing some momentum. I'm sad that my tomorrow marks my last photo class, and I can only hope that I'll find an instructor like Tim who has been encouraging in a way that has helped me to learn a lot and gain some confidence as well as greater understanding about photography and being a photographer. He's motivated me quite a lot. Of course, with the close of summer also comes the reality of work, a new curriculum, a new batch of students, a new type of student as well since I'll be teaching the AP kids and not freshman, and probably new challenges with parents as well, and hours of lab prep, grading, studying. Gosh, that sounds hard! Did I really sign up for this?! What disappoints me most is that I'd rather be pursuing something else, and this job distracts me from those things that really interest me. All in due time, I guess. What's the rush? So, I've come from a place of excitement and motivation to a place of dread as I face a new school year in a few weeks. I hope to take a color photo class this fall though. Hopefully all will pan out.
