Banff - H

4 days of rain, 2 days of sunshine, 3 days of camping, miles and miles of hiking, 2 bears, 3 cubs, 2 deer, a herd of elk, 2 wolves, a wolverine, tons of cute squirrels and chipmunks, infinite dramatic landscapes, and a whitewater trip later, we're back home. This is our trip in a nutshell...oh and a happy third anniversary to us! We really did see all of these animals, mostly from the side of the road roaming about doing what wild animals do - eat. I have pics to show, except for the wolverine. It left before we were able to take a snapshot. (We'll try to post pics soon.) I took all the animal shots on the digital which gave us less than excellent shots b/c we unknowingly set the ISO to 1600 which made most of our shots grainy. (I didn't know digital pics could be grainy.) Sigh, there's lots to learn about the digital. I should start by reading the manual. Luckily, I shot several rolls of 35mm! Old fashioned, but trusty.

The Canadian Rockies are beautiful! I'm going to say they're even more beautiful than the Swiss Alps. It's relatively pristine wilderness, definitely more untouched than the Californian wilderness. I'm definitely going back some day.
