The more I think about it, the more I realize that the internet is a powerful and scary tool. There's a much diminished sense of privacy which has been bothering me more the more I realize just what that means. There's really no such thing as carving out a space for yourself, and so these blogs are open to the entire world, literally...and most scary of all, to my students.

I'm starting to get excited about the new school year. I met with the other AP bio teachers and we talked a bit about what's coming up. It happens every year that I dread going back to work, and then I really enjoy it once it starts up. It's a matter of overcoming the intertia or changing my momentum. 3 weeks and counting.
