Mboo - H

Julia's learned that pointing can be a mode of communication, and so now she sometimes points at things she wants. We took her for a walk the other day, and she was pointing at things so we named them for her. Tree, car, moon...

Well, we took her for a walk last night, and she points up to the moon and says, "Mboo." She's said that more than once while pointing at the moon, so it seems pretty clear that she knows what it is. Is this her first word? There's definitely a clear connection between her word and its association with the moon. (sigh) I've been waiting for her to make that association with, "Momom," and me, but maybe, "Mboo," really is her first word.
