House update - H
So, when I drive onto the street where our house is located, I'm visually struck by this boldly painted, yellowish green house. It's almost a physical blow, b/c every time I see it, my head jerks slightly, and I think to myself, "That's an awful color." Then, sadly, I have to admit that it's my house, that I picked the wrong color, that it has very strong yellow undertones, and I just didn't realize it until it was painted all over my house. I even bought quarts and tested paints, and I still got it wrong. Argh!
The good thing is that the interior colors that have been painted so far are very pleasant, and I like them already. We chose pale ivory for the ceilings which is a very pleasant, creamy, warm color and a very subtle grayish blue for the bathrooms called whispering waterfall. The name itself is so pleasant, how could one not like the color! We'll see how the other colors look next week. The color in the living room/dining room is a bit bolder, so I hope it works and is pleasing to the eye the way I imagined.
Our contractor finishes his work by the end of the month, 3 weeks to be exact. We'll then have the floors refinished, and then we'll be in! So, maybe about a month or so. Woohoo!
