We're moving - H

So, tomorrow's the big day. We're moving into our house...although I think we're really going to move our stuff and stay somewhere else. There are some odds and ends that our contractor still needs to finish. There's the issue about the floor, and then we didn't call the power company early enough to get gas hooked up before Thursday which means we won't have hot water nor a stove top to cook on. Still, it's kind of exciting. I think I was downplaying it in my mind a bit b/c it's a modest house, not that much bigger than our apartment in terms of square footage anyway, but it's my house. That's kind of cool.

So, let me gush about my contractor a little more. I happened to be driving by the house after LTG tonight, and the lights were still on. I looked more closely and my contractor's truck was still there, and he'd been working all this time. He said he was really busy with other things during the day, and he couldn't get any work done so he stayed late to get some things done. It was nearly 10PM on a Friday before he left, and he'll be coming tomorrow too to meet his floor guy and see about fixing our floor fiasco. (The job that my floor guy did really was a joke. It's so terrible.) Anyway, I so appreciate our contractor. That we have not had to worry about anything that was in his hands is truly a huge blessing to us. It makes the me think that doing our jobs well, whether people know we do it for the Lord or not can be a blessing to others. It's both encouraging and challenging. (Not that I know whether my contractor is a Christian or not, but I hear his sister is a strong believer, so maybe he is too.) Anyway, if you or anyone you know needs a contractor my guy is the man for the job!
