Random things happening in my life right now - H

So, I just finished off a quart of coffee ice cream by MYSELF! It was over 3 days. I didn't finish it all in one sitting. I think E might have had a spoonful here or there. I LOVE ice cream! I ate quite a lot when I was pregnant, and I sometimes wonder if that might have been why J was so big when she was born and also why my placenta was so huge. It weighed about 3.5lbs. For those who don't know, the average placenta weighs about 1lb. Anyway...

I just replaced my Bible. I lost it months ago and didn't feel the need to get a new one since E has one and I can also find the whole Bible on the internet and read from there. I didn't read it though, but lately I've been feeling like I want to read it, so I got myself a nice, new Bible. I really like it! It's a slender, leather bound book, and the text is printed in sans serif which I like looking at. I've been reading from it, and I realized that my bible reading muscle has atrophied so much that after reading a passage I just had no idea what I'd just read nor what kind of significance it might have in my life. I'm looking forward to getting back into it, and working that muscle again.

The hall bath tile floor is done, and the wall tile is going up. I designed the tile layout myself and chose it myself, so I was unsure about how it was going to look. Someone else designed the master bath. It's not too bad, if I do say so myself. I picked some glass mosaic tile to go in there, and the tile itself is really pretty. Even my contractor commented on it. I especially like the tile in the shampoo niche. It's gray glass.

The house is slowly coming together. We should be in by the end of October, hopefully a little sooner. Maybe we'll be in and settled in time to have an open house/housewarming with a Halloween theme. There's still a lot that has to be done. We have to paint the garage and shed, figure out what to do with the shed (which used to be an aviary), landscape both the front and back, and we eventually have to reroof too. Then there are little things like window treatments, rugs, a few light fixtures, and some new furniture pieces. Owning a home is a lot of work, I admit, and we haven't even started living there yet.
