Copy cat - H

These days J imitates us a lot. If everyone is laughing, she'll laugh really hard too even though she clearly doesn't know what she's laughing about. It's cute. If I'm weeding in the back, she'll pull up the green onions that are growing and pretend to water the plants. She does to her dolls and stuffed animals all that we do to her. She changes their diapers, asks them if they want "up", puts them to sleep, feeds them pretend blueberries and yaksik, etc. She even goes to work. She waves bye, blows us kisses, and says she's going to the car...and then 5 seconds later she says, "Back!" as in, "I'm back from work."

Today she did something new. E and I were talking, and J was playing with this bottle brush. She asked for it, and E thought that she wanted to pretend that she was cleaning with it and gave it to her. Well, she disappeared from the kitchen and went off somewhere, and after a few minutes, I realized that she was playing with the toilet. We ran into the bathroom, and there she was, with a wet shirt and toilet water all over, cleaning the toilet with the bottle brush. She'd intently and with much intrigue watched E clean the toilet for the first time today. She stood next to him observing his every move. Then, when she saw the bottle brush which actually resembles the toilet brush, she asked for it and took it straight to the bathroom.

Oh, J.
