Just some thoughts - H

Women have it hard. I'm sure plenty of men do too, but from my perspective, I say women bear a lot. That's all I'm going to say.

Today, J was experimenting with a new phrase. She says, "Want it," while she shakes her head, so it's supposed to mean, "I don't want it." It took a while for me to get it. First, I couldn't make out her words, and then I didn't catch that she was shaking her head. I was so confused that she was saying, "Want it," and then trying to give away what she had. She's so patient with me though. She'll usually repeat something over and over for me until I get it, and when I do, then she says, "Yeah!" Hehe. That makes me chuckle.

I think J loves shopping already...well, at the very least she likes getting new things, I guess as we all do. It's just that I'm amazed that she's already aware of that, and that she knows what it means to get something new. So, I got a warm jacket for her today. She wore it out of the store, and then she wanted to keep wearing it when we got home. After I took it off of her, she saw it later and wanted to wear it again. With this other hand-me-down that she got, she wears it and says, "New," while pointing to it, and then says, "Like it." It's just interesting to me.

I want to say a word of thanks to the Lord for the things he's been doing in my life the last several days. He's just been speaking into my life and has brought some freedom as well as clarity as a result. It's been a long time, and I'm just thankful for it. Thank you, Lord.
