"Hi, shower!" - E

I was giving J a bath tonight, per our daily routine.  After I fill up her bathtub, I turn the water off and soap/shampoo her.  Once that's done, I turn the water on to rinse her off.  When that happens, J will stand up and fill her fish cup with the water from the tub spout.  Often she'll be hanging onto the tub spout as well.  Tonight, as she was hanging on to the tub spout, she pressed down on the button that turns on the shower.  Now, J is not fond of the shower, so when the shower turned on, she started freaking out and started saying "Up!  Up!" as in get me out of here, now!  I quickly turned off the shower and reassured J that everything was okay.  Then I explained, "J, if you press the button, it turns the shower on."  J interjected with, "No!  No!" thinking that I was going to turn the shower on.  I had to reassure her that the shower was off, and explained it again.  I think she got it, because she was fine after that.  A minute later, J noticed that the shower head was dripping a little bit.  She looked up at the shower and said cheerily, "Hi, shower!"

I told this story to H, and we had a good laugh about it.  I'm not sure if it'll be funny to anyone else.

It IS funny. I love how J deals with scary objects/creatures (like her uncle J) by waving/saying hello and being very friendly to them. So cute...
