The kids lately - H

There have been a few great moments lately with the kids. J's terrible two stage is in full throttle with no signs of letting up. While it's extremely trying most of the time, there are some moments that have made me laugh out loud...and I'm learning how to handle them better too.

The other day, J was throwing a tantrum in her room with the door closed. (So, for this story to make sense you have to know that J is mostly potty trained, but we put her in a diaper at night. So, when she was throwing this tantrum, it was in the morning and we hadn't changed her diaper yet.) She was at her door screaming and yelling. She said something to the effect of, "I peed in my diaper, Mommy, and I'm going to pee more until it leaks!" She will use pee as a weapon, and if she's extremely upset with us, she will pee on the floor. She tried this time, but she had a diaper on (thankfully!).

I'd gone shopping the other day and left the kids with Daddy. J was taking a nap, but E was awake. I'd been gone a few hours. When I came back and E saw me, a huge smile lit up her face and she just giggled. She was so happy to see me! That made my day!

Sometimes Daddy will be holding E. E just stares at me until I look at her, and then she flashes this smile at me. She loves me!

I picked J up from preschool today. The two girls were sitting in the back seat in their respective car seats. J was talking to E, and E was looking at J and smiling and even laughing at times. That was awesome! They're starting to interact with each other!
